Manicure Course

What to expect

A complete beginner nail course which brings us right back to the basic of a traditional luxury manicure. A really important course to start with to get to know the anatomy of the hands, structure of the nails and how best to treat the hands using exfoliation and massage techniques. A manicure can be offered on its own or alongside a treatment such as a gel manicure, it is also a perfect bridal treatment.

All products and equipment is supplied for each course and you will have full access to this all day
Long hair should be tied back to avoid getting in the way
Minimal jewellery should be worn
Comfort is key for learning so please arrive dressed professional but comfortable
Please bring any snacks/lunch with you to avoid running over on lunch breaks. We have a wide variety of hot and cold drinks which we provide

Treatment preparation
Cuticle work
Massage techniques & routine
Aftercare

The study time for the theory is done using your training manuals which you will receive prior to the practical date. It is important to put aside time to thoroughly read and revise these ready for your knowledge quiz.

Practical

Prior to the practical day, all theory videos would of been watched to get an understanding of how the treatment is performed.

We will cover:

Nail filing & shaping
Cuticle tools & uses
Skin exfoliation
Mask application & removal
Massage techniques & routine
Normal polish applicationYou have the option to purchase a starter kit prior to your practical course to help you on the way with your case studies. If you wish to add this on, please let me know upon booking.

Is the course fully accredited?

The courses we teach are certified by the Guild Training and once completed will be recognised for you to continue on to gain insurance.

Who will teach my course?

All our courses are accredited and taught by our director, Carley. With 15 years industry experience and 7 years running a busy salon – you are in safe hands.

What does a typical course consist of?

Online Theory (you will require a computer and access to the internet as this is done prior to the practical date)
Practical training at the salon
Case Studies after the practical day

Does this course include a starter kit?

This course doesn’t include a starter kit.
